OVERVIEW

Over 10,000 35mm transparencies of: (a) underwater images from around the world including coral reefs, colorful fish, soft and hard corals, sharks, turtles, rays, marine mammals, invertebrates and sea shells; (b) birds of all types

UNDERWATER

The collection includes over 2000 different species all identified both by common and scientific name. Many are close-up shots of brilliantly colored fish and invertebrates as well as odd shaped and bizarre looking creatures.

Geographic coverage is California, Mexico, Caribbean, Galapagos Islands, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Solomon Islands, Fiji, Micronesia including Truk and Palau, Hawaii and the Red Sea.

BIRDS

Bird coverage is primarily in the Western United States with many shore birds and ducks. Many of the shots are of "behavior". Some birds are also shown in different season coloration and with young. The collection also included many birds of South America.

MAMMALS

Sea mammals include different types of seals such as elephant seals, sea lions and otters. Land mammals include polar bears, grizzly bears, deer and smaller creatures. The Africa portion of the collection has extensive coverage of the big cats and elephants.

TRAVEL

National Parks and other scenic areas of the Western United States are covered including some of the lesser know destinations. Europe includes Spain, France and Switzerland. Asia, emphasizes Indonesia and the Pacific Islands such as Fiji, New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.

 

SPECIALTIES

Brilliantly colored macro photographs of a huge variety of fish and invertebrates, all in natural settings. Numerous shots of sharks, both alone and interacting with divers. Close-ups and portraits of tropical fish, as well as a large variety of invertebrates.

GEOGRAPHIC AREAS

The collection includes large areas of the Indo-Pacific, ranging from Indonesia, Fiji, Malaysia, Palau, Truk and Papua New Guinea through the Solomon Islands. It is also strong in the Red Sea as well as the Caribbean, from the Bahamas, Caymans, Bonaires and British Virgin Islands.

Western United States includes scenery, birds and animals and includes California, New Mexico, Alaska, Oregon, Wyoming and Utah. Europe includes Spain, France and Italy. Africa coverage is in Kenya and Tanzania.
